Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Dangguicheongung-tang-kamibang(Dangguichuanxiongtangjiaweifang;DCT) on the in vitro and in vivo inflammatory reactions.
Methods: In experiment, leukocytes were calculated by coulter counter for leukocyte migration, absorbance was measured by ELISA reader for vascular permeability. GRIESS method was used for NO inhibition. RT-PCR was used for inhibition of iNOS expression. Radical scavenging was tested by DPPH method.
Results: DCT showed inhibitory effects on leukocyte migration(12.7%) and vascular permeability(25.3%) in animal test. DCT extract inhibited the gene expression of iNOS. In COX-2 inhibition assay, DCT inhibited PGE2 generation(48% at a concentration of 10㎍/㎖), exhibited radical scavenging activity of 48.7% at 100㎍/㎖.
Conclusions: These results indicates that DCT has a potent anti-inflammatory prescription.
